"After many years of traveling, relying on family members and finally boarding kennels we were truly blessed to meet Sue from Away For Awhile. Since July we have been lucky enough to have Sue look after our pets on two different occasions. Both times we have come home to happy, healthy and well adjusted animals. Our cat who is 11 years old normally has troubles when we leave her behind and she lets us know about it for some time after our return; however, after the first time with Sue she never complained. Even more recently when we were away for three weeks, she was happy to see us but, totally content! We knew Sue had to be doing an amazing job! Our other pet is a young puppy who is filled with energy and Sue is able to meet her needs as well. Without hesitation we would highly recommend Sue to anyone who has pets and is leaving for either a short period or longer. Having such a wonderful, professional and caring person not only take care of your pets but also, your home is invaluable. Finally, we can totally relax, enjoy our vacations and her informed emails! "It was my first try with "Away For A While" Nov 6-10 and I was really pleased with everything. The services were performed as agreed and I came home to healthy and happy furries (Pandie and Miss T). "Sue looked after our two cats for a week while we went away to get married in Mexico. We were initially worried about leaving them with someone we didn't know, but after meeting Sue and seeing her love for animals and attention to detail, we had no concerns. "We have known Sue for few years and we were thrilled to know about her pet sitting business! We use to put Biscuit our 4 year old dog, in a Kennel every time we go on a trip, and he use to come home miserable and unhappy and all he did at the kennel is stay in his crate. Sue took care of Biscuit a few times and he couldn't be happier to go there, he gets the best treatment, lots of walks and plays with the other dogs, and we leave him knowing he will be well taken care of and we have no worries. "We had to leave on short notice for a family funeral and Sue from Away For A While came to take care of our two cats and two parrots for one week. She did a wonderful job. One of our parrots is very aggressive but Sue handled her beautifully. She left us a detailed list of each of her visits and we arrived home to find all the pets happy and healthy. "Sue from Away For A While took care of our two cats for an entire month while our family was on vacation. The eldest, Dim Sum is 16 years old, diabetic and needs a lot of care and attention (he needs insulin injections twice a day and must be monitored to make sure he is eating and drinking properly). Cleo, our Calico is very skittish and difficult to approach. Via email Sue kept us in constant contact about how our furry family members were doing and reassured us that all was well. We returned to two very happy and healthy felines that were relaxed and fit. Sue was even able to tame Cleo into having her tummy scratched at each visit. Away For A While is an invaluable service and Sue is committed to keeping our pets calm and secure. Her professionalism and tender loving care are much appreciated and we would not hesitate to use her services again and again."

"This was our first experience using Away For A While and we were extremely pleased with Sue's service!
We were away for an extended period of time (16 days) so Lynda came to stay in our home. Lynda was excellent! Upon our return everything was just as I had left it. Both Sue and Lynda went out of their way to leave their personal touches behind....a daily diary from Lynda and a gift bag for our dog from Sue were waiting for us upon our return.
